Do I need to install anything on our server?

No, there is no server component or modification needed for any products within the Colligo for SharePoint family. You can easily download and install Colligo Reader without your IT department and quickly be able to view your SharePoint site content offline.

How does licensing work?

Colligo Reader is a free product for individual (non-commercial) installation. It's available for download from our website www.colligoreader.com. A support plan for this product is not available. Those considering a business deployment of a SharePoint reader solution (for 5 or more users), please contact Colligo at sales@colligo.com for details about an enterprise license and support plan.

How much disk space is used to install Colligo Reader?

The download size of Colligo Reader is under 10 MB and its installed footprint is only about 13 MB, excluding content synchronized.

What type of content can I take offline?

Colligo Reader provides support for most SharePoint® content that is commonly used, including the following:

  • Document Libraries - including document libraries and picture libraries
  • Metadata & Views - including views based on changing variables ([Me] and [Today]
  • Lists - including custom lists and standard lists (Task, Issues, Events, Announcements, Contacts, Links, Agendas)

How do I synchronize with my SharePoint site(s)?

It is very easy. Once you have installed Colligo Reader, you can select "Download New Site", enter your site credentials (or choose default credentials), select the libraries and lists that you want to synchronize from that site, and then click "Synchronize". Current libraries and lists in SharePoint can also be selected using the Internet Explorer toolbar button. You can simply drag-and-drop site URLs into Reader to select entire sites.

How can I modify content that I have taken offline and synchronize it back to the SharePoint server?

Colligo Reader is a read-only product. If you want to modify these documents or add new documents to your workspace you will need to upgrade to Colligo Contributor. More details are available HERE >


What about security?

Encryption of stored site content is available as an option in the Contributor version of the product. Encryption is not available in Colligo Reader. You can learn about upgrading to Contributor HERE >

How do I upgrade to the latest version of Colligo Reader?

You can check the version that you are currently using in the Help Menu under About Colligo Reader. Then please visit www.colligoreader.com to see if a more recent version is available for download. You are welcome to download Colligo Reader at any time.

What support is provided for Colligo Reader?

Support for the free Colligo Reader is only available through our website http://support.colligo.com/default.aspx. A support plan is not available for the free Colligo Reader. If your company would like to receive additional product support, please contact us at sales@colligo.com for information about our SharePoint reader solutions designed for enterprise deployments.

How do I upgrade to Colligo Contributor?
