What equipment do I need to run Workgroup for Lotus Notes software?

If you are buying new hardware or upgrading your system, consider using the Microsoft^® Windows^® XP operating system or Microsoft^® Windows^® Vista^®, since Workgroup is optimized to work best with these latest operating systems.

How frequently do you ship releases?

For Colligo Workgroup Edition, we expect to deliver two releases per year.

How does the licensing work?

When you purchase a Workgroup for Lotus Notes software license, you can install the software on your computer (PC, laptop or notebook). Additional licenses are required for others to install the software on their computers.

Do you need a copy on every device for it to work?

In order for a device to be seen by other users Colligo Workgroup for Lotus Notes needs to be installed on the device.

How much disc space does a Workgroup for Lotus Notes install require?

Colligo Workgroup Edition requires approximately 11MB of disk space.

Can I transfer Photos, Music, and Video?

Are your products certified for Windows XP/Vista?

Workgroup Version 5 for Lotus Notes supports the latest Microsoft operating system releases. It supports Windows XP Home and Enterprise. Support for the Microsoft XP family includes the SP3 service pack. Version 5 also supports Microsoft Vista Enterprise, Business, and Ultimate versions. These latest Microsoft PC operating systems bring significant upgrades in support for security and wireless technologies

I own version 3.x or 4.x. Can 5.x network with version 3.x or 4.x?

Colligo Workgroup version 5.x for Lotus Notes can discover, connect, and interact with version 3.x or 4.x users. However, version 3.x users will not be able to take advantage of the new Windows Shared Folders and Windows Shared Printers capabilities. And version 4.x will need to upgrade to 5.x to support Vista and Outlook 2007 calendar sharing.

Can't I set up an ad hoc network myself? Why do I need Workgroup?

What is the distance range of a wireless network using Workgroup for Lotus Notes software?

Workgroup for Lotus Notes relies on WiFi technology (802.11b wireless networking) to discover, connect, and interact with other users. WiFi networking has an approximate range of up to 100 meters (328 feet). The range is dependent upon the actual WiFi network card and the environment in which you are using it. Environmental factors include walls and electrical interference such as cordless phones and microwaves, which can interfere and shorten the distance.

No, you can't talk to public IM clients like AOL, ICQ or MSN, However you can communicate with other Colligo Workgroup users and our patented user authentication scheme allows you to verify their identity, something that public IM clients don't provide. Workgroup for Lotus Notes allows you to talk to Windows-based desktops, laptops, and notebooks. Please read our hardware requirements

Does Colligo support Bluetooth and other OS?

Currently, Workgroup for Lotus Notes does not support the Bluetooth wireless specification nor does it support other computer operating systems such as Macintosh or Linux. Please read our hardware requirements for more information
